Telekom City in Darmstadt

Our office is located within the “Telekom City”, which is Deutsche Telekom’s second largest site globally and which is by revenue the largest European telecommunications provider, in Darmstadt. Darmstadt has been frequently ranked as one of the best tech and digital hubs in Germany as well as in Europe. This is because Darmstadt hosts esa’s space operating centre, EUMESAT being responsible for Europe’s meteorological satellites and the EUR 2.5 billion FAIR international accelerator facility under construction. Futhermore the world’s oldest pharmaceutical company, which is Merck, and Software AG, Germany’s second largest software vendor, have their headquarters here. Addtionally, three universities with 40,000 students (including the Technical University of Darmstadt) and three Fraunhofer institutes plus the Center for Research in Security and Privacy (CRISP), which is the largest research center for IT security in Europe, are located here. Together with the nearby cities like Karlsruhe with the reknowned Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Heidelberg with the Heidelberg University founded in 1386 as well as four Max Planck Institutes and Frankfurt, which is a leading European financial centre, the Rhine Main Neckar region is the leading deep tech region in Germany as well as in Europe. All the above mentioned cities can be reached within one hour drive from Darmstadt.
